Tomohard ltd, trading as Tomohard, wants as many people as possible to be able to use this website. This statement describes what we do to meet that aim, the limits we know about, and how to ask for information in another way. It is relevant to the Equality Act 2010, which requires reasonable adjustments for disabled people where we provide a service.
1. The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Those guidelines explain how to make content perceivable, operable, understandable and robust. We work towards that standard on the pages we control. We do not claim that every page already meets every success criterion.
2. Measures we take
- Pages use text rather than images of text for the information you need in order to enquire.
- The enquiry form has visible text labels for first name, last name, email and telephone number, and the fields use the appropriate input types so browsers and assistive technology can identify them.
- You can navigate links and form fields with a keyboard.
- Text can be resized with your browser settings. The layout is intended to reflow on a narrow screen.
- The logo image includes alternative text that names the brand.
- Legal documents, including this statement, are published as HTML so they can be read with a screen reader, magnified, or copied.
- Colour is not the only means of conveying the cookie choice or a form error, and error messages are written in text.
3. Known limitations
Some parts of the site were built with a page design that is not fully under a single accessible component set. The following may be harder to use, and we can provide the same information in another way if you ask:
- some decorative layout regions are present for visual design and do not add information;
- older embedded styling can produce headings or spacing that are less consistent than the legal pages; and
- if a document is later provided only as a PDF, we will supply an accessible alternative on request.
Third-party sites we link to, including the Financial Ombudsman Service, the Information Commissioner and the Financial Services Register, are responsible for their own accessibility.
4. Ask for a reasonable adjustment
If you find any part of this website difficult to use because of a disability, contact us and tell us what you need. Examples of adjustments we can discuss are a telephone explanation of a page, a document in large print or plain text, more time for an appointment, and a meeting format that suits you. What is reasonable depends on the request and on the service, and we will tell you if we cannot provide a particular format and what we can do instead.
